Gilded Woodstained Cupboard Furniture

This cupboard unit began life as a plain pine wardrobe in a children's bedroom.

With the involvement of the client, who had a heavily influenced oriental taste, and a collection of gilt framed paintings in their modern house, we decided to transform the unit to suit their dining room.

Staining to match other wooden pieces in their room, we then decided to gold leaf the panels. Looking quite plain at this stage, we worked over the leaf, to how you see it now.
