Nicky Hancock Background 

HK Art Projects is a decorative painting company run by Nicky Hancock. Nicky is a trained Fine Art painter and upon graduation some 14 years ago set about exploring the various ways of building a career as a commercial artist. She has gained experience over the years as painter in theatre (sets and props), corporate hospitality backdrops and retail display as well as numerous bars, clubs, restuarants and hotels.

Nicky had always harboured a real love and appreciation of beautiful homes and interiors, regularly visiting National Trust properties, attending relevant trade shows and building up an extensive library of interior design magazines and books. So in the spring of 1996 HK Art Projects was formed with the sole purpose of transferring her painting skills and her passions exclusively into residential interiors.

Development 

In the last few years the business has expanded and flourished finding Nicky working in some beautiful high end residential interiors both here and abroad, working independently, or with an organized and talented team of specialist artists for larger projects. Recognized for consistent high quality and ingenuity HK Art Projects provide a fully organized and professional creative resource to private clients and interior designers.We offer a wide range of disciplines covering both traditional and more experimental modern finishes, furniture painting and interior accessories, murals, plaster moulding restoration work and gilding.

HK Art have a good knowledge of period decoration and remain proactive in researching and keeping up to date with new materials, current interior design styles and ideas. Nicky enjoys working closely with her clients to build up an understanding of individual tastes and lifestyle; her colour matching and mixing are excellent, with a keen eye for finishing touches and taste, you will find in Nicky an enthusiastic and responsive practitioner with plenty of ideas and inspiration!
